MrBagel '22–'23

My goal in entering the 2022/23 Cycle:

1. Get a full ride (or very close);
2. Receive no conditions on said full ride;
3. Be in Washington State (but also consider other states just in case).

I ended up choosing Gonzaga Law. Some of this stems from my desire to be in WA State, even Eastern WA, long term. Secondly, I want to go into public interest. My final three I chose between were GU, University of Washington, and University of Utah. As you can see from the scholarships I received, cost was a large factor. I didn’t need a school that could get me into big law, I only needed a school that would give me a good legal education packed with public interest experience. I saw Gonzaga for this, its low cost of living, condition-less scholarships, and location. In the end, I made a choice between reputation/prestige and home. I chose home, and I believe I made the right choice.

The advice I wish I had taken: only apply to schools you’d go to even if it wasn’t your only option.

Overall, I am very proud of my application cycle and happy with my decision. If you are reading this, good luck, no matter what you will make the right decision for you <3
