Legalistigician '21–'22

The thing I wish I had known coming into the rough ‘21-22 cycle is that it’s pointless to compare your stats to other people with same scores/GPA’s. At the end of the day, schools make their decisions with that information, but also the information they get from personal statements and essays. The stats put your foot in the door, but your personality closes the ballgame.

In the future if you’re finding this profile and have similar stats, invest the time and energy to improve that LSAT to 170+. It unlocks so many doors. Wish I would’ve quit my job to study full time, but life goes as it does.

Also, state schools will generally lowball you if they feel like they can get away with it. UKY did it to me; UTK, UNC, etc did it to others. Don’t be afraid to bet on yourself and take that offer which might shake up your life. These schools are counting on you wanting to stay close to home, and paying a big amount of $$$ to do it. The more people start to buck that trend and throw it back in their face, the more cash and concessions schools will have to make.
