10 years work experience after undergrad, 7 of which have been in the Federal Government working on environmental policy. Masters in Environmental Science from 2015 and selected as 2015 Presidential Management Fellow with the government. Goal is to practice environmental law with the government.

Started college when I was 16 and skipped last two year’s of high school (got my GED).- Academics were great first two years of college in premed, then had family drama and GPA had a sharp drop junior year.

• Two gap years between undergrad and grad school.
• Character and fitness issues: 1 semester academic warning, disciplinary action on alcohol in college, and 1 speeding ticket.
• LGBTQ+ and came out when I was 13.
• I used an admissions consultant due to my complex background and life experiences.

Application specifics: Wrote Why X essays for nearly all schools and all optional essays. Diversity statement on being LGBTQ. Personal statement focused on childhood trauma and how it shaped me into the resilient person I am now. Wrote both GPA addendum and LSAT addendum for jump from 161 to 173 and 5 LSAT takes.

Results:
All scholarship amounts are over 4 years.
Committed to GW by the deposit deadline, only stayed on the Georgetown waitlist.- Sent 2 detailed LOCIs to Georgetown in February and April after the WL Zoom session.

• Received two Georgetown feelers- 1 mass feeler on April 26th and 1 very specific feeler on April 29th.
• My LOCIs said I would commit regardless of financial aid, but would still appreciate what they could offer.
• Accepted on May 4th, requested scholarship morning of May 6th and was awarded $15/year that day at 5pm with the deadline to accept by May 9th. Used GW to negotiate up to $20k/year. Also asked GW to reconsider and they could not increase.
