Had three LORS, 2 academic, 1 professional; 1 from an undergrad prof I was pretty close with, 1 from an MBA prof who always gave me sparkling feedback in my work and spoke very highly of me, 1 from my most recent boss who I had a really good relationship with

I didn’t do any of the diversity statements because I was afraid I couldn’t speak to the diversity I would bring to the incoming class without it sounding contrived or insincere. However, definitely spring for submitting one if you do possess a diverse quality/perspective that isn’t represented anywhere else in your application.

I was pretty much set on NIU as soon as I visited during an open house event (it was January 2023 I believe?). All the student ambassadors and faculty/staff I spoke to were incredibly friendly and seemed very happily involved in the law school community at NIU. I’m excited to be attending!
